DALIA SADHANA YOGA

What does Sādhanā  means?

Sādhanā is the daily spiritual practice.

It is the discipline that we need to attain our spiritual goal of equanimity and connection through the mystical yoga practice.
Since the mind is everywhere but the body is dense, the body is in the moment, only the body, therefore, can teach us how to perceive the non-duality.

What does my practice look like?

My practice is made by both repetition and newness, by flowing with no purpose and putting attention on each breath.

My goal is to practice everyday, and I follow sequences from the Vinyasa yoga and the Katonah yoga®. Katonah teaches me to see the patterns in me and gives me the tools to invert these patterns by measured and archetypal positions and a strong theoretical background.

The Vinyasa allows me to just feel my body as it is, flowing through the positions following what it is good for me in that moment.

Practicing yoga will help you improving your physical state, making you both stronger and more flexible - you will be surprised! - but also to reduce your level of stress, anxiety and increasing your level of attention and self awareness.

Through a series of sequences and positions taken by Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, I will give you the tools to organize yourself in your body, to see the connections in it and to feel the benefits of being aware and in control.

I like to start by warming up the body through asana (the yoga positions) and the subtle body through pranayama (the control of breath) all inspired by the Katonah yoga, continuing with some Vinyasa flows focused on a particular aspect of our body, motion, mind, attitude…and finishing again with some Hatha for entering in deeper positions and cooling down. I like to teach both asanas "for everyone" and more advanced positions, that require more practice to reach their archetype. For both types of asana what counts is the intention and awareness, and I will always try to give new inputs, tools and key lecture…you will see that by putting all this together even the basic asanas could be considered advanced!

Yoga is for every-body. If you have any particular issues or injuries we can discuss about your practice together.

That said, I am not a therapist, therefore I would advise you to see a specialist if I think it is the good thing for you.

ABOUT DALIA

After my trip to Nepal in 2016, I haven't stopped practicing yoga and meditation.

In Nepal, during my Vipassana Silent Retreat at the Dhamma Tarai Vipassana Kendra, I have discovered the power of the concepts of impermanence and equanimity.

In this same journey I got close to the Ashtanga Yoga, that taught me the benefits of a daily asana practice and the importance of being able to practice autonomously, listening to my own body and breath.

Since that moment, I have been practicing several styles of yoga. I got my 200 hours Teacher Training Certificate in 2020 at Radiant Light Yoga, and I now teach Hatha-Vinyasa classes, where I like to alternate some intense physical movements (Vinyasa) and some inner work of the subtle body.

My sequences take also inspiration from Katonah Yoga ® where I have now accumulated 150 hours of training. Katonah Yoga incorporates classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, sacred geometry, magic, metaphor and imagination in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being.
